Similar forces that form the present-day deposits formed also the ancient littoral deposits.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ancient littoral deposits are clearer and larger than their present-day equivalents. This is explained by extreme physical conditions in ancient times. For example, open seas were winder and thus also winds were stronger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A clear sign of a raised beach is an earth fringe or bank, rocky belt or terrace.
